About this price
The EIA surveys retail diesel stations every Monday and publishes the averages around 10 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday (Wednesday after a Monday government holiday). The price is dated Monday. Fuel surcharge programs usually use the U.S. average; some use a regional PADD average instead.
Contracts differ on which week applies: the week of pickup, the week of delivery, or the price published before the load. Fuel Calc lets you pick the week and region per matrix.
